Polyurethane due to its structure, does not emit harmful toxins or chemicals. Polyurethane belts can be thermoplastic – TPU, or thermosetting – PUR applied in particular for process belts and general handling purposes.

Thermoplastic polyurethane belts – TPU are distinguished by their exceptional resistance to grease, oil and chemicals. PU belts can operate on low winding diameters and be used in knife-edge conveyors; they feature high resistance to abrasion – cutting and increased operating temperature. PU belts ensure optimum durability and performance.

The operating temperature range is from 30 to 130°C. PU belts are more chemically resistant than PVC belts. Structurally, polyurethane belts are classified into spacer and solid belts. They represent a high class of lightweight conveyor belts designed for heavy-duty applications, in particular in the food industry.
