Elastomers are rubbers based on synthetic or natural rubber and polyurethane foam (sylomer). These rubbers are distinguished by their relatively high operating temperature ranging from -20 to +121°C. Elastomers show a high friction coefficient resulting in high material adhesion. In most cases, the textures of conveying surfaces range from very fine to coarse.
Belts with elastomeric surfaces are used for general and inclined ascending handling operations. These belts are characterised by a high conveying surface friction coefficient.
